(origional post)

(i need an after market shifter for a borg warner 5 speed (out of a vk commo)
obviously there a diferent box to the usual t5 because insted of the shifter being bolted to the top of the box and having a ball on the end its swrewd in to the box and has a fork kinda thing on the end that slots onto the the rod inside the box. so my question is where can i get an aftermarket shifter from ,who makes them and do they have a website?)

ok the prob is the plastic thred on my shifter is a bit screwed up. it screws into the box and eventualy works its way out (and yes i have bent all the little locking tabs down) i would be happy with an origional replacement but holden dosent have them rocket ind dosent have them rare spares dosent have them and hdt dosent have them and reckers eather dont have them or wont seperate it from the box anyways so i figured if im going to replace it i may as well get an aftermarket shifter. so if anyone knows anything that could help it would be very much apreciated even any info on weather i can weld the botom piece of my shifter onto a t5 shifter and get threded bits welded onto the box so as to bolt the t5 shifter on there ie. b&m riper shifter =) would be greatly aprteciated thanks heeps =)

The locally assembled 2L class of cars from the era also ran that box.

Might be easier to get the parts from Mitsuishi perhaps? A mate of mine had a mid 80s sigma with the BW 5 speed in it, and tore the nylon ball out of the box. In '98 mitsu were st
