Not damage as such (other than pride).

Had a UC Sunbird, running the poxy starfire 4. decided to give it a tune up, as it could hardly make it up the hill home. Got it back together just in time to go fetch missus from airport. Halfway up first major

Didn't damage the car but I have a similar stooopid story. Out with a girl on a date in my freshly finished LH Torrie (I was fresh out of high school) took the rotor cap out so it didn't get flogged while we were at the movies. Came back, put cap in - won

I don't like to bring back bad memories but here's one. I was doin an oil change and plugs etc. on my hj which has a 383 stroker chev. Took off the velocity stack cleaned her up and put it back on leaving the filter to dry, while putting the nut back on (
