last nite spare wheel stolen from my wifes prado,i didnt hear a bloody thing,rang toyota to get new one 1200 bucks,thats what happens when cost of living increases,e.g petrol.anyway be carefull out there,thats why a spare tyre should be in the boot or bolted to the bottem of the car/4wd.going to make a claim through insurance,then of course the policy will go up.cant win.cheers gts082.

Just think, an unscrupulous prado owner can knock off 3 more & get a near new set of tyres (and save a bundle).
One of my mates has a landcruiser, and he makes sure his spare is always an old worn tyre (almost on the limit) to deter the crims. |

Sorry to here the bad news ! Well we do have to expect an imported rim to cost a bit. We make didly squat here these days ! A boring old 2001 Rodeo 4x4 rim costs $750 bare and new. Thats silver paint and boring steel, six stud no rubber !

I'll have a look at the prados I have a rim here I think is off a prado but you would have to freight from WA. I also think it may be off a tribute but will check

The other week I too had some silent theifs in the night removing the rear badges from my HZ (in the second driveway)and even a V8 badge from my van under the carport . I removed the other badges from the HZ and put them in the glovebox as its not registe

Cloudy, Those badges will probably be on ebay before the end of the week. People pay good money for original badges these days. I'm actually surprised I haven't had any issues with people syphoning fuel from my car as it doesn't have a locking petrol c
