G'day,
I have noticed that coolant is leaking leaking from the heater core. Fogging up my windscreen through the demister vents and now leaking onto floor of the HX ute.
How big a job is it to replace the heater core. After reading GlenPerth's woes. Is it possible to bypass the heater core while I run around getting it repaired or finding a replacement.
Cheers,
Gav.

yeah you just remove one hose off the engine, take one off the heater and put it where the one you removed from the engine was, so it just like a loop, simple bypass

What do you mean by a couple of bolts?
Are you referring to the fact that the heater cover is held on by a mixture of screws and bolts.
If so, this is factory standard and is probably a good idea as it would be a bitch to get a screw driver on some

Not referring to the studs, 2 bolts with nuts inside the firewall have replaced screws. These where near the guard, under the bonnet hinge.
