Hi all,
Have just picked up a HX sedan (refer to post from John Merkus on 30/09). Very honest car, but has some serious rust problems.. Was initially was going to cut the rust out of it and give it to my daughter in law. (She has my 308 ute on loan at the moment). But she is not interested in the HX.
The car har a lot of rust in it....doors are rooted, rust in cowls, and rust in doglegs behind rear doors..
Anyway, what I am thinking of doing is take the bits off it I want for the ute, ie: brakes, windscreen, console etc etc and leave a complete rolling HX shell, bit will replace anything I take off the Kinga with stuff off my ute.
If anyone in Sydney wants it email or SMS me (0409276227) and make me an offer. Car is 202 auto and seriously drives like a dream... Has rego till 05/11 and I have been driving it to the train station every day for the last couple of weeks.
Otherwise, I'll strip the stuff I want out of it and send body to the scrappies......

Has it got power steering and a decent diff?? If so and it can be driven I will come up and probably get it...

Nope,
Has armstrong steering and a banjo diff. Also has a bush dropped out of the top left control arm, so wouldn't be keen on letting anyone drive it from here to Canberra.
Looks like I will salvage all the good bits off it for the ute and then de
