The central locking in my VN works sometimes and not at others, I did change the black box under the glove box but fault still there.
Has anyone lse had the same problem and what was the fix?
My guess is the driver's side motor is on the way out or out of adjustment, but would like to confirm before pulling the car apart agian.

Yes, the driver's motor could be the cause, as the trigger switches are mounted inside the actuator.
On early VNs they are easily adjustable (you have to remove the door trim to get to the 2 screws).
On later ones you can still adjust them, but yo |

Thanks Mike,
I will check which one it is as I fitted them from a VP I think. From memory the motor screwed to the inside of the door itself, so will see if I can adjust it. Just wanted to check before I rip the door trim of AGAIN.

Hmm, if it's VP I think it may be the later type where the motor is bolted to the lock mechanism (the yellow zinc plated bracket) which isn't accessible without removing the screws holding the mech into the door, and spinning it around to an access hole t |

I will have a look this weekend. The lock motor bolts to the door I think from memory the fronts came from a VQ and the rears from a VP. I do remember the brother in law, who had a early Calais, said the mounting was different to his.
Yes I am interest
