I have an 84 XF Fairmont and would like to know if it is LSD prior to taking off the diff cover (I bought the oil for a std diff). Anyway the diff plug colour is brown and is marked with "SRD LUB Only" I think this may mean it is a LSD.
Does anyone know from my posting.

"srd" stands for "slip resistant diff" so going of that yes it is a lsd.does it have a "tag" on one of the bolts that go around the cover?it should also have the ratio which should be 2.77
