Its a brand new engine - less than 1000km old.

400 2 bolt block - 40thou over - end result is 408 cubes. (its a good block with no core shift). Line bored, decked, bored, acid dipped etc, oil return galleries opened up. Fully externally balanced.

Eagle nodular crank. Eagle I- Beam rods. Clevite competition bearings (mains, rod and cam).

Speedpro Hyper pistons - flat tops with valve reliefs. Moly rings.

ARP main stud kit. ARP Rod bolts. ARP oil pump shaft. Mellings HV oil pump (not HP).

Rollmaster timing chain, Romac balancer, CVR Alloy 2 piece timing cover. HD Flexplate - ARP bolts. ARP Balancer bolt.

Comp cams Hydraulic roller cam (248/254 @ 50', .580/.600 @ 50'). Speedpro retro-fit hydralic roller lifters. Cant remember the brand of pushrods, but they are moly hardened.

High Energy baffled sump - to suit holden HQ-WB.

Pro-Topline Alloy heads - ported. 200cc runners, 68cc chambers. Manly stainless valves - 3 angle valve job. Crane double valve springs - to suit cam. Yella Terra Platinum shaft mounted roller rockers - 1.6 ratio. Crane retainers and locks. ARP Head studs. Felpro Race head gaskets.

Edelbrock victor jnr manifold - ported. Set up for EFI - bosses for injectors. ARP manifold bolts. MSD 1000cfm throttle body. 42/lb ford motorsport injectors. Custom alloy 1/2" fuel rails. Speedflow, earls and russel fittings.

Alloy water pump. Alloy cal-custom rocker covers.

All fasteners are ARP or stainless bolts.

All gaskets are Felpro.

This motor makes a genuine dynoed 390+ HP at the wheels of my monaro. It has a very flat torque curve, all the way from 2500rpm with the Injection. It has the potential for more. It was run in and tuned on the dyno. On the street its very snappy, revs to 6500 - peak power is around the 6200-6300 mark. Very driveable, but does compromise streetability at idle. Still produces enough vacuum for brakes.

It will come with the tune to suit a haltech ecu. I will also consider selling my ECU if the buyer wants. I will consider selling without the EFI setup or the heads - replace with a carby or whatever. It will make the same horsepower with a BG Demon carb, but will lose some overall torque.

I am selling to make way for a 454 bottom end, which i will end up supercharging.

This motor cost over 20k to build, machine and tune. The engine was built by Performance Unlimited based on my specifications and will come with a limited warranty. Everything has been matched to build a motor that will make good horsepower and still be streetable - and it meets these objectives. Yes, it has a rough idle and yes it requires work to drive - its not a stock motor.

Im asking $15k heg for the full motor, sump to intake, including injectors and efi sensors and haltech ecu. Im open to negotiate without the EFI gear and heads etc. This sounds like a lot of cash, but if you can get the parts, build, machine, tune and set up a GENUINE 390+ RWHP- NOT FLYWHEEL HP - SBC - then you are doing a lot better than i did. The motor is essentially brand new, ready to bolt in and comes with a limited warranty (ie, assuming you treat it right, dont over rev it, it will be warrantied - if you change the cam or something and dont run it in properly, that is NOT warrantied.) I will sell the haltech ecu and dizzy to suit if required. The motor can be heard and seen running in my car.

cheers
