Thanks Terry - the car's a HX, the box is the Bendix Bishop unit, the mount is the one from the picture posted here not long ago showing the assembly and the pump looks to be a standard hq-wb item. Hi Spud,
Why do you have to get one made up? They are still available new and are the same as the V8 version...
Cheers...Dave

I've got the V8 one; I just read on here that they're different lengths.
Hmmm...
I'll bang it all in and take measurements. I can ride the bike to a hose place.
Cheers guys.

My HX Part Manual says the only Pressure Hose available is Part Number 2825687 and fits all models. If the 6 was different to the 8, they would be listed as separate items.
When I put power steering in the Qute (202), I used a complete V8 setup (change

Just check that the pump end of the hose is compatible with the pump. There are two types: one has an O-ring and the other seals with a tapered olive style fitting. For the return line use transmission fluid hose. |

Mine's got the tapered syle fittings and it seems to match the pump perfectly. Good point though Rich.
You guys get a lot of power steer questions? Do you have a FAQ sheet on the topic specifically?

We get a few power steer questions....once you know the couple of variables (and there are only a couple), the rest is all the same.
Cheers...Dave

The L6 and 253&308 V8 hoses are all the same length in a HQ to HZ and more then liky in a WB too. Tho I think the 350 V8 power steering hose are longer. As the hose runs from the steering box along the stabiliser bar to the pump witch is on the other side |
If I agreed with you we`d both be wrong. |
