Just putting out a feeler at the moment. I'm contemplating selling or trading my XE Fairmont Ghia. It's an ongoing unfinished project and would be sold with a lot of spare parts and bits and pieces.
It's a 1982 build with an XF EFI spec 4.1 litre bottom end, XD alloy head (hi-comp), Impco 200 straight gas set up with B2 mixer, LPG compliance plate dated 01/05, 3 speed auto, XF Ghia seats, EA steering wheel, snowflakes, plenty of rubber on the tyres, full tank removed but I still have it, Clarion head unit and 6 disc stacker, Pioneer 6x9's (not fitted but with all wiring and spacers to do so), Midnight blue paint (underside of bonnet and bootlid need respraying - I have about 1.5 litres of the paint), de-badged, de-chromed (still have most bits), new tie rod ends, near-new rear lower control arms, all new hoses, near-new rear discs, Pacemaker headers, no centre console (but I can arrange an XD/E one or I have an XF one), wiring for electric windows and mirrors although I have neither connected, reco starter motor, reco power steering pump, good radiator, pod filter ( ), battery relocation kit ready to fit, body has the usual stone chips from driving, interior is unfinished, new boot carpet, lowered at front by about 2 inches and about an inch at the back, may be willing to throw a set of front super lows and rear lows into the deal.
Spares include 80 litre fuel tank, ECU, air flow metre box (blue lid), 2 inch exhaust system, XF auto shifter, two excellent condition XF tail lights, glove box, boot lid, another engine good for reco, an unfinshed project engine (including fully ported cylinder head with big valves, heavy duty springs, 10.6:1 comp - perfect for LPG) and more.
The reason I am putting this expression of interest out is that I don't have either the time or money to finish the project and also have a yearning to own something different to a Falcon/Fairmont sedan.
I am looking to see what people think it could be sold for and also would consider a trade/straight swap for an XW-XY ute, XD-XE ute or TC-TF Cortina preferrably on gas or dual fuel, with rego as well.
