How rare is a 3.50 ratio ford diff?
I recently dropped a diff out of an XE ute and saw the 3.50.
I've never seen one before. The usual combination is 3.23 with 3 speed manual or auto, or 2.92 with 4 speed manual.

Anyway I put this diff into my XF ute on a 3 speed auto, extractors and 3" exhaust with muffler, straight out side of the ute and WHAT A ROCKET!! Perfect tow vehicle for around town. Probably revving a little high for sustained highway use though, but it wont be doing that anyway. Speedo way out though by about 15km/h

I put 3.7's in my diff on a 1985 yella XF running a C4 and hot straight six motor, agreed it does run 15 - 20ks over and does rev a bit high on the freeway but Oh man does it go fast in a straight line. Thats my mid life crisis solved apart from ripping d
