Hi all,

OK I'm in a real pickle now! Have a dual fuel 308 HZ Premier and it's been beginning to run rich and missing on petrol. It's a Sprintgas system, probably the one way vacuum valve I thought, and a check of the lid on the carby showed that it wasn't rising as it should allowing air into the carby. Anyway that had to wait until tomorrow as the gas place was closed, so I thought I'd check all the vacuum leads etc and get a new valve tomorrow. Now went to put the car in the shed and nothing, no fuel getting to the carby, no gas valves clicking if I try to start on gas, nothing. The indicator on the dash showing the gas tank level and what fuel your using shows no lights now at all. What have I done, anyone!!! Thanks Peter

Had that happen to me and all it was, the power supply to the gas/petrol switch fell off and the car died. Neither gas or petrol had power to the solenoid. If push comes to shove, replace the petrol solenoid with a piece of petrol pipe. You

Thanks for that, yes seems like a total power failure. I tried to see if I'd knocked anything, checked the fuses, all checked out! I will have a look with fresher eyes tomorrow I guess.

Cheers

Thanks BluHJ, had a fresh look this morning, sure enough I had knocked a wire off the feed to the system. Last night I couldn't see it as it was hidden under a vacuum hose, but when I moved the hose this morning there it was! All working again, oh and t

Don't fix all the problems. Holdens run better with the odd rattle, knock and power thing that isn't any more.
When you get everything working, tight and quiet that's when it come to a complete and grinding halt.

At least it's running now Peter. I have the newgen mixer and OMVL convertor on mine coupled to a Rochy. Never had an ounce of trouble with it. Check for small holes or splits in the vacuum line when you're running on petrol. Does it run OK on petr

Thanks, yes it was just the one way valve, ran sweet on petrol once that was fixed. Jabba, don't worry, there are a few other squeaks and rattles, so it's far from finished!! The prem is a nice car though, I love driving it, problem is we've just bought

Some days the decision would be easy Dave!!!! :) Better keep her though, she does come in handy at times, ie bleeding brakes (need the second operator on the pedal!!).

Cheers
