Merry Xmas Everybody,
I posted this before in the wrong section so will give it another go.
Hi there my name is Elvis and I live in Emerald Qld.I work for the Govenment as a storeman/purchasing officer/trainee workplace health and safety officer. I have worked there for 12 years, I'm single never married and I love my gardening and also my 11 year old male Bullterrier Ned.
I'm in the process of building a 39 Plymouth 4 door sedan into a five window coupe.
All the running gear will be Holden like the crossmember section is HT Holden with HQ v8 coil springs and HQ stubs fitted with a Castlemaine Rod Shop Commodore disc brake conversion kit.
The motor is a 1971 HQ Holden 253 v8 running on straight gas, the automatic transmission will be a TH350, I will either use HT steering box or VP Commodore rack and pinion steering.
The original steering wheel and column will be used, the column is to be shortened and fitted with a universal to connect up.
I was going to use the VP Commodore diff but when I went to set it up I find its too short for the original Plymouth chassis so will have to reseach some other kind of diff suited to the 253 but wider than the Commodore diff,I still want to use the Commodore rear disc brakes and rims. I'm going to use the original type radiator remade new.
Well must close now and run into town and get me hair cut, take back a dvd and get Neddy his weekly food. My other car is a 1973 HQ 4 door premier.
Merry Christmas and have a wonderfull 2006
Elvis.
