Hi guys,

Anyone have an XF - XH Ute/Van (assuming they are the same) Fuel Tank from an injected Falcon?

I need to know the size (Length x Width x Height), capacity and where the Fuel Filler Neck entry is on them for a conversion.

I am putting an injected motor into my ute and using the Falcon tank would make life MUCH easier as I won't have to mess around with Swirl Pots, Lift Pumps, etc.

Assuming it will fit my application, anyone in Perth or surrounds have one for sale?

Cheers...Dave

Dave, I can't help you with the dimensions but can tell you that the EFI 4.1 was strangely never an option on XF commercials (even in 1992!). The XG (looks just like an XF) & XH had the 4.0 multipoint engine as standard fitment.

I can tell you a lit

Thanks for that information Jim.

Sounds like I have a wider range to choose from than I thought.

Actually, I just had another thought on this...Aren't the XG/XH van/ute tanks plastic instead of steel?

Cheers...Dave

No they would still be steel. The XD sedans in 1979 started the plastic petrol tank craze but the commercials & wagons kept the steel tanks. The wagons finally went to a plastic tank when Ford introduced the AU. I can't tell you what the AU utes have thou
