How much would I be looking at to have a 253 Holden V8 rebuilt, just to standard specs.

JUST PUT A RECO CHEV 307 OT 350 IN IT AND BE DONE WITH IT.

whats wrong with a 253 shorly its got more torque than a 202 and better economy than a307 or 350 ? cheers

i rebuild one cheaply with almost no budget to do so, it cost me around 1200 dollars, rings, bearings,honed bores, new valve guide seals and gaskets,new hyd lifters and it goes ok, it was a no frills rebuild. have to agree a little with dylan you get what
