just looking for some info on premium to standard and if there is a difference in the fuel in regional areas. i live in central queensland and the fuel seems to be very oily when you get it on your hands. i have a hq with a stock 308 and a rochester carb the problem iam having is the top gesket is always wet with fuel. it is a new reco carb and the last 2 carbs did the same thing. float level is good, the fuel also has a very strong odour. after the car has been sitting for a day walk past the front of the car and all you smell is fuel. i have been using bp premium and it is clear in the filter. is the fuel still colour coded. any sugestions would be great.
