Hi all,

I have a VR V8 Statesman and the airconditioning belt keeps breaking.

Looking at the a/c compressor it is loose when moving it when there is no belt. Obviously this is the problem, but how do you get to the bolts to tighten it up?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Jamie

the compressor is mounted from the drivers side, through into the block.
does the whole unit move, or just the front pulley section?
you may have done a front pulley bearing, i have'nt heard of a compressor coming loose.
let us know how it went.

ps.

Thanks Fatboyvncalias v8,

Had my brother in law check it out tonight and it appears it is the pulley as such.

I will try again tomorrow night to complete it.

Cheers
