Heard that putting a v8 in makes the cross member sag! causing the wheels camber, and u shim the wheels but after awhile u cant shim the anymore. Also has anyone changed there rear suspension to a more modern four link system at all? how'd it go? also putting VT brakes front and rear, ive got the cash but is it really a pain in the bum,
cheers

it shouldnt sag, there fully welded to the frame rails, i think its more of a proplem in LH - UC torana's where the cross member is bolted in. they can be straightened anyway.

On pre Commodore cars there is no problem, the V8 crossmembers were the same a 6 cylinder. Mind you I have seen plenty of "V8" parts for sale that are identical to 6 cylinder ones. The Commodores, not sure if all of them, are different, definite on the VL

The V8s with all the options and all the weight had a tendency to sag towers and crack mounting points around upper and lower wish bones,vt brake conversion to front is straight foward bolt on kit.
if it ain't broke we can improve it.
