Predator Carburettor, does anyone know who manufactures this product. Information on the web is very vague and close to useless. One of my engines is a 351 Clevland, it has been running a double pumper Holley. Power is not an issue but I was interested in finding a more efficient carby and one that gives little grief. I have had some interest in the Predator for years but don't know anyone that has used one? Is there another brand that anyone can recommend and include the reasons why.
Thanks in advance.

One thing to look out for with the Predators...they claim to be a 1,000 (or thereabouts) CFM carby but they measure CFM differently to Holley (like Ford and GM measure HP or KW differently) and only flow about 700 CFM IIRC on the Holley scale...

Cheers

Thanks for the flow info Qute.

I believe the Predators were originally designed and made in Sweden and may be constructed in the USA now? There is very little information on the net and I can only assume that the original company has been bought out (I

You're welcome Guy.

You could try giving Bernie at Bernie Cook's Auto's in Belmont in Perth a call. Bernie knows his stuff and was the one who told me about the different CFM ratings. He has played with Preadator Carbs a fair bit I think.

Cheers...D
