Hi Guys After your advice regarding a V6 ecotech motor in a VS commodore. It has lately been chomping thought alot of fuel, iam gettin about 150km max for $20, this may seam good mileage to alot of V8 drivers out there but i used to get around 200km, i changed the plugs and oil and still no result... i dunno wat could be the cause in this??? anyadvice would be great..and no it isnt my heavy right foot either :)

Hi John,
Have you checked the computer codes? They may tell you that your oxygen sensor is not working properly.

hi Qute, is the oxygen sensor the thingo that is plugged into the air box???

The "O" senser is in the exhaust pipe down at the rear of the engin. Also try to diconect the battery for at least 30 seconds (negative terminal) as the computers memory is erased and will read the sensors and re-calibrate the base settings. Rem

Hi Guys.
Ecotec V6 engines have 2 oxygen sensors (1 in each exhaust engine pipe)these have a finite life & they are a common cause of excess fuel consumption. Another common cause is a stuck or leaking fuel pressure regulator. But don't just r
