I just replaced the clucth in my HK monaro (replaced the pressure plate, new cluctch housing and throwout bearing) and when we got it all back together the clutch felt a bit different, it was lighter and felt a little different. I could not put the car in gear while it was running with the clutch fully depressed. We adjusted the clutch a few times and it still did this. Dad thinks it might be in the clutch linkages but we're not too sure as to why it isnt working. The car has a 186s with an opel 4 speed gearbox. Any help would be greatly apprectiated. Thanks

If the adjustments are ok it may be that the clutch plate has been fitted backwards, you would want approx 1mm clearance at clutch fork,if clutch plate is in incorrect the damper springs would be stuck on flywheel bolts not allowing it to rotate, just a tho

Thanks for the help. I played around with the adjustments some more and the linkages and could get gears. I took it for a drive though and everytime i took off or changed down gears the clutch would shudder. were not too sure what this could be though, go
