Hi Folks

Just had a new condenser and piping fitted to my VS 5lt as it hasn't been operational for some time due to a tiny hole in the condenser.

when im driving with the AC on she revs about 1000 higher than without the AC on and when i turn the AC off the revs still sit at like 2100. Cluching out slowly in a low gear will bring them down.

I understand the engine works harder when the AC is on but i can't figure out what whould cause the revs to stay so high after i turn the AC off

any help would be great

Cheers
Benno

Hi Benno,

First thing to do is check the computer error codes and let us know which ones show up.

Other than that, there may be a vacuum hose in the A/C control that has split/come off and you have a huge vacuum leak.

Cheers...Dave
