Just want to no if there is any problem replacing fuel injection with carbie, i no it would be better keeping the fuel injection, but i have been given this xf ute and i was told it has the early xr6 motor in it , is there any way i can check. there seams to be a lot of pipes comming of the tappet cover and other areas that have no pipes to suit . the motor has an aloy tappet cover on i that is the same as the fuel injected type , andhow do i check to see if it is a an unleaded type of motor, is there an engine number match or something !

Carbi manifold will bolt straight on to EFI head no problems, the unleaded head for efi was an E2 and E1 for leaded, the carby heads were different again, this number should give you some idea what the motor is,the number is on head behind lift hook on pas

For got to mention you will need to put carb fuel pump on motor too,efi pump pressure too high.
if it ain't broke we can improve it.

what car do you have?if its an xf or under i doubt its an xr6 engine.xf fuel injection wasn't that flash so a return to carb would be fine as the carb motors were super reliable.you would have to go the xd/xe dizzy as the xf 1 wont suit a carb.is it manua
