Hi all,
I'm new to this forum.
I'm looking at buying a HJ-GTS monaro coupe which I've come across by word of mouth.
It's a genuine 253 monaro coupe but it has had a toploader conversion. It's yellow in color and has off white interior.
The body is straight no rust, recently resprayed. Currently out of reg. Running gear has een reconditioned and the upholstery re-trimed.
What are these cars worth?? It looks very nice in and out but not sure what to be expecting to pay.
How many of these cars are out there as I'm having a hard time getting information for it.
thanks in advance
Greg

213 x 253 coupes, value will be determined by many factors, condition, originallity, types of modifications, quality etc. Not just the condition of paint and interior.

Hi Warren. The vehicle is in excellent condition. Motor looks as standard as possible. The only things that are not original are the gearbox and diff. You can't miss the 9" hanging out the back. Other than those changes the rest is stock looking. No other

I wouldn't worry too much about the top loader conversion. As long as the floor hasn't been badly butchered just leave it. You won't break it with a 253, and not even with a 308. If you do it's just a Ford part anyway, and not rare unless it's a close rat

If we all had the same (good) taste, who would buy all the Fords?

The price of HJs is now ion the rise, so expect to pay over $10000, if it is a real good one, then you could be as high as $20000. A few years ago this would have been a $6000 car, so I would be just treading easily around the car now and then see what th

Thanks Warren,
I'm sure the car will be worth alot more if it's running gear was returned back to its original parts. As it stands at the moment it still is a very attractive looking car.
I will keep you posted on future updates.
