Can anyone help me - How many of these car were initially made? I believe they only made a limited number and they were only made in red and white.

They weren't a limited run model, and were built on a continuous basis whilever the public bought them.

They were also used as the base vehicle for the 300+ HDT Group 3 SS models (as well as additional Group 1 & Group 2 models).

The 5L (308) was released part way thru the VH model lifespan (more towards the end), and was available in both red & white.

The other thing to note is the white was Alabaster (VB-VH white), but very late ones are actually Alpine (A VK-VP colour).

A mate had one of these's and he later got and still owns a vl group a plus pack. The vh to me was the best ss made in this series. I had a 4.2L 4 speed vh sdn and sometimes wish i still had it.

I had a 4.2 4 speed VH. I liked it, it was a cruiser. Had power steering too.
