Hi guys, i am having problems with my vr 5 litre starting. If you drive it and leave it for an hour or so, then try to start it, it will fire up and just drop revs right down and stall on most occasions, sometimes it just holds on and after a few seconds its fine, no probs at all while running. If you leave it for say 20 mins or less b4 u start it again it seems to be ok, and overnight i have hardly had a problem with it, it just always seems to choke when u give it on hour or 2. I think it may be the fuel pump check valve allowing the fuel after the regulator to go back into the tank, but then why does it start ok when it has been left for ages? filter is new, injectors have been cleaned. Any advice on this would be great!

Cheers

Adam

Try disconnecting the battery over night as this will erase the computer memory. Then in morning reconnect and the computer will read all sensors and settings an recalibrate it self. This may help or promp a fault coad reading.
