With the conversion into a hz what computer controls the speedo, central locking etc does the engine computer do that as well or is there a seperate car computer?

In a VT-VY the speed signal is fed to the Engine Computer (ECU), and then processed & fed to the electronic speedo. Thus you would need to fit some form of electronic speedo to your HZ. Holden can calibrate the speedo for you using a Tech2 diagnosti

Id use a Delco 808 from Camira, Astra VN without BCM.

so do you think i can get away with using a cable speedo somehow? or does the ecu NEED the speedo data? what other signals does the ecu take that aren't supplied by the engine that I would have to consider. for example if i used a TH400 and a 9" di

Whats the difference between the delco 808 and the gen III equivalent? although i don't like the word camira in there!!!

Dan, I have a TH400 and 9 inch in my EFi conversion... I use a VSS from the Th400 into the ECU. I dont know exact pulse rate off hand. anyway this helps with IAC.
U can plug a speedo cable into the back of this if desired.

VSS = Vehcile speed sensor IAC = Idle air control
I have a 308 red with Vn heads, harrop d/plane and 4bbl throttle body with commodore fuel rails.
Delco 808
TH400 trans 9 inch
in FE Holden.

I reckon the FCis the nicest Holden built, not too big, nice shape, needs a bit of modding but still love it. I want a wagon.

MMM where to start..Daniel do you want Gen 3..which is chev or Delco which is Holden conversion.Both original computers are programmable by the right person.You can use vehicle speed sensor on both,But you either have to use a cable splitter to retain mec
