Hi all,

We're moving house (near Albury/Wodonga on the NSW/Vic border), and the faithful parts car (which hasn't been picked at too much) is for sale. It's a 1978 HZ Kingswood wagon, yellow with a flaking brown vinyl roof, just lovely!! :(), anyway the body isn't great, fair bit of rust in the roof and doors, but the chassis and floors are good, the bonnet and guards, and front apron are very good and the interior (less door trims) is OK too. Comes with a front bench seat (installed as it's a factory 6 seater), but a pair of buckets are in the back for the buyer too. The car has a reconditioned RPM engine, 253 V8 (car is a factory V8 manual too) and that's tied to a 3 speed manual box and a 10 bolt Salisbury out the back. The drivetrain on the vehicle is great, I drove this car from Melbourne to Wodonga on the freeway last year and she sings along just great, doesn't use any oil and it quite good on fuel too! Exhaust note is good too with a twin system and extractors (not very old I think). The car will come with a swag of parts in the back as I need to clean the shed out for my move! It's hasn't been out of 2nd gear for about 1 year now (rego expired March 2005) as we've just moved it around the paddock and shed where it's been garaged since I bought it. Anyway this would make a great parts car as it has everything you need (and more)!! Look I reckon you could drive it anywhere on a temporary permit (but can't guarantee it!), just needs a battery and the brakes bled (bit spongy now) if that was the way you wanted to pick it up. If using a car trailer, then no problem the brakes work well enough to stop on a trailer! Tyres are OK but two would be a little too far gone for a RWC. Looking at $600 ono for the beasty as is where is!! :) Photos available too, please email hz308prem AT bigpond DOT com (with the usual changes) or phone 0417662541 for further info.

Cheers

Peter
