I Got A 1984 VK Berlina with a carbie 202 and a 3 speed auto Today, And I want to know what it takes to change it to Unleaded coz putting in lead replacement is going to get old real quick.

Just put unleaded in it and you might be surprised and get ten years out of it before you get signs of Valve Seat Recession.

Ummm, I think Peter meant PULP...VK's don't usually run very well on regular ULP. Normally, you'd back off the timing or drop the compression to run normal ULP. However you can't back off your timing in a carby VK unless you fit a Blue motor dizzy and get

Well PULP is a form of unleaded petrol, that's what I meant. We don't have LRP anymore.
It is not always necessary to run out and get the head 'converted' just to run PULP.
My wifes VW Beetle will run just as long on PULP, ULP, LRP, Super, Standard, |
