Do your seats have the lever to fold them forward or only the turning knob? Are they the original cobra trim (stripes) or solid black like the Bathurst Cobra seats were, sounds sus? Pictures?

Now that you have said that, I do remember someone talking about them not that long ago. Probably on this site too.
Who were they made by? Was it a factory thing or a dealer organised promotion.

Not sure if factory or dealer but the pics were in the History of Ford in Australia book. Got the book when the XFs were still being advertised as the "NEW" falcon so it is long out of print.

XB man, do the seats have the tilting mechanism in the seat or do they have just a winder? There is no real way of telling if they were genuine Cobra seats unless you can find a Cobra missing its front seats. Where abouts did you find them? If it was i

There definitely were some dealers who optioned up some sedans as 'Cobras'.
I have read on a forum somewhere where a guy was valiantly trying to defend his cobra sedan as the real deal because he had bought it new from the dealer like that.
He was c

If they don't have the tilt lever on them then they aren't out of a Cobra coupe. Might be out of one of the cobra utes, might be just a good copy. As long as they do the job you want it doesn't really matter.
