I have a red 253 that I removed running from a HX for a project that I have since upgraded to 304 hence why the add for the 253. It has prepollution heads and a 4bbl Rodchester. I have removed the front timing cover because at some stage in its life someone had bellzonered up an area around a bolt hole. I have a good cover to go back on and also have the later style bigger bearing WB waterpump, viscos fan and crankshaft pulley to suit. I have a new ACL front timing cover gasket kit but have not yet refitted anything because I decided that if any one would want to use the engine it would pay to fit a few other seals and gaskets also, but that would be completely their own choice to make as the engine was running fine when removed and did not have any major oil leaks. $400.00 if any one is interested I am in the Brisbane area and can be contacted sharlees@tpg dot com dot au.
