Just wondering how much you could bore a 350 block out before you started haveing problems? I want to build up the motor so that the thing will run all day without overheating in traffic or highway use. Not going to be a balltearer but still demand a little respect from the rice burners. Been told that 80thou would be pushing the boundry a bit.

I wouldn't go any further than 60" over the standard 4in bore. But its not a matter of just bore size to make a decent engine, heads, cam, ignition, compression, induction all play their part in the combination to make it work properly.

"all small blocks can safely be bored.030inch. Most of them will take a .060inch overbore, but can be troublesome with blocks produced after 1967.(if a production

True 60 is as fare as you'll ever want to go. For a street motor 60 would be ok. For racing 30 would be your cut off point unless you new the thickness of your Bores below your deck.
For a 400 block 30 is it period!

Going to far with the boring Bar co

Thanks fella's guess I wont be buying that block then. It was just a 327 bare but it needs a rebore and it's allready out to 60 thou. On ebay and within my budget (not very much at all) but if it wont perform then not worth it. Thanks again for the advise
