Hi,

The towball that was on the HQ ute when I bought it was one of the old two piece types. I'm fairly sure they are illegal to use now (is this actually correct?), so I figured I'd do the right thing and buy a one piece towball.

So I went to fit the new one, and the 7/8" shaft the new towball has won't fit the existing towbar!

I've had a quick squiz at the Qld Transport website and can't find any info quickly on this, so I thought I'd ask here in case anyone else has had to research it.

Is the new 7/8" shaft a new legal thing, or should I be able to find (and legally fit) a smaller shaft towball?

Cheers,
Jason.
