Turbo 700 rebuild front input shaft seal info??

Hi all, just finished rebuilding my turbo 700, this transmission is out of a VN and I'd say has been rebuild before. I have a question for the guys who have overhaulled these unit in the past. Input shaft has four sealing type rings, the rings supplied in the kit were thicker than the slots in the shaft, so I bought another set of rings from a teansmission overhauler, again they were thicker, anyone come across before this before.

I did a T/700 5.0L and the kit I used was from ATP parts in Brisbane and all the seals fitted perfectly. I do not think it had been apart before and the seals were the same size as the ones I removed.
