ive recently bought a holden vp 5 ltr its had a bit of wrk dun by the old owner,its got jst over 300 hundred on the clock so its had a fare run,its had the exhust rite thru by pacemaker,a sporty cam,2nd stage short shifter (auto) and the diff gearing changed to 3:73.my prob is that im new to doing up cars and im a little lost on wat i should do nxt,i had in mind either jst getting it reco or stroking it to a 355 supercharging it or evan ripping it out and replacing it with a small block 350 chev,can any1 help me.should i take it to a shop and get their oppenion?if so does anyone no a good honest place in canberra?

whats your budget?? with the chev, buy the book putting a older motor in a new car is a no go....but I have seen it done (QLD) so I guess there are way's around it. Oh thats a VL turbo straight 6 motor in a VP commy, street legal.

With the short gears your running, the car should have some sting as is. Regardless of what you do, A reco is in order.
