I have a 5 speed out of a VH Commodore 4 cylinder. It looks almost identical to the 5 speed box for the 6 cylinder. What is the difference between them and would the 4 cylinder box run say a standard 6 cylinder Holden? would it be tough enough?
thanks

Same borg warner box basically, but with a number of internal (and case) differences that may make life difficult - the ones I spotted in the parts book are all to do with the shift rods, top cover housing, and a few other shift-related items.

The 4cly is mounted further forward ,so the gear lever ( when 6cly is installed in factory mounts) comes up in the wrong place. these box's have very different tail housings .
