hey guys i was wondering if any one could tell me if i would have to chop and blance the tale shaft if i am puting a celica 5 speed conversion i allready have what i suspect to b a m20 i kno its a aussie 4 i am pretty sure its a m 20 it is behing a 186 Edited by user Monday, 13 March 2006 12:07:23 AM(UTC)

Put the Toyota yoke that you are using in the back of the gearbox, gently push it all the way in and then pull it back out 25mm. Measure from the rear of the universal joint cup hole in the yoke to the base of the semi-circle in the diff yoke. This will g

What car/motor combo is it going into?
I had a celica 5 speed in a VH commodore, 202, and a trimatic tailshaft (practically the same o/a length as a M20/M21 shaft) was spot on for length, and only needed the machined out (for the Holden uni cups) toyot |

I fitted a Celica 5 speed to my torquemaster equipped VC Commodore. As Mick said the tailshaft should be pretty much the right length.
As part of the kit from Dellow they supplied me with a new yoke that fitted into the celica box & accepted the Holden |

hi i put a celica 5 speed in my lc torana and i had to get a custom tail saft made but i also have a 9inch

As Jim says, Dellow make a yoke to suit the Holden uni and keep the std length tailshaft. But be careful as Tonners have a bigger uni at both ends than a normal Holden V8. You will want a 1 1/8" cup uni for the tonner tailshaft, whereas normal V8 are 1". Edited by user Tuesday, 9 January 2007 11:19:58 PM(UTC)
