hi im just wondering what was done to the standard vt 5lt v8 motor to get it to 195kw, and does it have roller rockers. Would getting a stage 3 cam kit from crane cams be a good idea to get more horsepower, but would this give me a rough idle. If the motor does not have roller rockers would fitting them give me any improvements in horsepower. Also was wondering what the maximum resistance of the high tension leads is. what is a good reading on the multimeter for resistance on high tension leads.

the VT and VS series 3 had a roller cam, but not roller rockers (as far as i am aware) make sure when you change the cam you get a roller cam and change the lifters, if you change the cam to a performance cam it will make the idle rougher, it all depends

All external mods over the standard 179kw VT. New exhaust and extractors, chip, cold air intake and knock sensor. Internally it had nothing over the stock Holden unit.

With the Vt motor they also change it to sequencial fuel injection and a bit of a cam job, they also made a better exhaust, chip and cold air.
