G'Day everyone,
I've been looking into steering box support plate kits that bolt onto the top of the steering box and to the subframe skirt. I have 205's on the front and the box has some sideways movement when checking it standing still. Has anyone used these with any noticable improvement in the steering precision/feel? I'm thinking of this as a last resort before spending a lot of $$$ on a recon. steering box. Clutching at straws I think. :(

Thanks. Steve.

If the box needs reconditioning, that wont help much.

If the box is reconditioned, it will help prevent lateral movement. I ran a Rare Spares reco box in my EH for about 6 years with 205's on the front and it was very good. The only step better I made
If it is old or rare - Cut it! http://www.ehlimo.com.au/
