The tonnaeu cover has studs all the way round which are 1/8 pop riveted on all the way round on top & behind the window , Very strong and tight. Rusty .

Rusty, just trying to work out how to do my tonnaeu cover , how far are your studs apart and are they chrome? I was thinking about a hardcover in black but pretty pricey and might look abit weird being on an older ute. catch ya later Nick

Thanks for nice comments Scott,
Nick , There are 7 clips on sides, 7 across the back including the one from the side & 7 behind the window ,If you look closely at the picture above youll see , The clips are black on top & chome undernieth .The sides were 28.5cm roughly apart .
Behind the window was roughly 23 cm .
The best way for you to do it would be to get the tonnaeu cover made first then drill the base clips on so then you will be able to pull them tight to get the best tightest fit to suit your new cover .
Hope this helps ya man
Rusty

Great ute mate. I have a WB which is very original, but am wanting to put a larger set of rims on it, maybe 18" or 19" (Just to get away from the norm), do you know of anyone who has put larger wheels on, if they have had any problems with clearance?
I also have a tonnaeu like your, its great, no rain puddle build ups and no flapping noise when driving.

Hi ,
Also have put new rear u bolts and bushes in the leaf springs ,the old ones were flogged out & this was causing slight vibration at 130 kph - 220 kph
Also front upper ball joints & new front bearings & complete front swaybar bushes .
This has made it all tight .
The Ute is now driving very smooth like a new car .
GO HARD OR GO HOME
