Could someone tell me which motor would be best to re build a 186 or 202 , I have a td40 turbo I want to fit and also if someone could advise me on what other mods need to be done to handle this turbo

Personally I'd use a 202 with a blue/black motor crank. The only advantage I can see in a 186 is you can fit a forged crankshaft out of an early red motor. Remember that a 202 is simply/basically a 186 with a longer stroke.
For induction I would use a VK

i my self would go the 202 but it all depde how much u want ur engin to rev a 202 is a slower and torquier engin compared to a 186
