Replacing control arms on HR front end

Well, the time is rapidly approaching, and I would like any assistance I can get on this one, I have replaced every possible part in the HR front end, and now I have to start re-fitting all of the various bits and pieces, could someone help me by answering if I need to use the spacer and various other "Special tools" to refit parts, the HR manual says about a spacer for the Pivot Pins and bushes?
Thanks in advance for all your help!
P.S. any other stuff to look out for or make it easier would be appreciated as this is my first rebuild
