Was thanked: 5 time(s) in 5 post(s)
I need some advice here, I have picked up a 308 motor for my HZ ute, to replace the tired old 202, I want to put it in on Monday, because the old girl is blowing smoke VERY VERY badly, but it may be a week or so before I can get a set of V8 front springs for it, will it be too dangerous to drive around just for a week or so with 6cyl. springs in the front or should I wait a few weeks before I put the engine in so I can do the springs at the same time? sorry I dont get to use the internet very often as I have to travel in to a mates place in town to use his computer, I live about 1 1/2 hrs out of town, I have posted before but it was a while ago. My mate will ring me with any advice posted here, thanks in anticipation of your much valued help.
Todd.

Hi Todd, When you think about it, springs generally control the height and roll/pitch of a vehicle and the shocks control the 'bounce' of the wheel so using 6cyl springs will drop the car down about an extra inch but shouldn't really make that much differ
