I've got a 202 short motor which I need to get rid of. It comes with the following: Complete block and internals, trimatic flywheel, engine mounts. It was running well when I pulled it out of my HG wagon around last july. It wasn't smoking or making any knocks or other noises, or leaking oil. It could do with a light rebuild, by that I mean new gaskets, rings, a clean and a paint. The good news is, the cylinders are still ok with no major marks or wear, they just need a hone. The cast number indicates it was cast in mid 1971.
the engine number is: NL1548
After a bit of reserch, I was informed that that NL is a Nasco prefix, these short motors were fitted to cars that had suffered major engine failure under warranty. I've never seen another one in a car before.
You could even say that its the ultimate Nasco accessory for your HG or HQ, Lol!
It would be a shame to waste, but its going in a skip if no one claims it by the end of Easter weekend. Theres also a Red 6 to Aussie 4spd bellhousing if anyone wants it.
I'm located in Rowville, Victoria.
