it will do that...if the engine temp is still up a bit, the fan will continue to spin for a little while

The fan will come on when you turn the engine off.There is a sensor installed in the engine cooling system.If the engine is above a certain temperature this fan will run until the coolant temp is lowered. Check your cooling system level and temp . If they
