I've started looking for a FC Holden body could be a rust bucket or parts car at this stage. Had plenty of EH's a few years back but does anyone know the problem areas to look for on a FC sedan. thanks.

above the headlight area, top and bottom rear of mudguards, sills, floors, y-frames, doors, front of the bonnet, these are all common for FE-FC`s

For a vehicle nudging 50 years old, pretty much any area could potentially have rust in it. Especially anywhere in the botton 1/4 of the vehicle. |

Everywhere! Make sure you look carefully at the whole body. If it has a fresh coat of paint think about what could be underneath. Just be prepared to spend the money because you are buying a very old car. http://www.myholden.com.au

Checked out an FE. On first sight 10m away I thought this might be alright all one colour,sheded, but a close up look revealed something else. All floor pans had rust which I could have expected to replace but the sills had rotted away leaving nothing to

wait to see the owner and have another chat , a badly rusted car is not worth much at all , I think 250 is generous , I have paid $100 for a running HQ in the past,I look to see whats of value to me on a wreck and do the sums ,Plus if it needs a trailer e

See the body on Ebay $300 at the moment and no its not mine. All that rust I would think I would prefer to pay a lot more nad get a decent body they are around if you are patient. A Monaro or some rare car, might be worth it and i have seen rusty Monaros

I did inquire about the ebay shell sounds OK, even better now.I'm in central Vic and he's out east I just couldn't bid on till I inspect particularly now I've seen one.Just a bit too keen to get one and get started.

I had a fe and a fc that I started to rebuild years ago, but it was well rusted. Yep normal rust places in the front gaurds around headlights and floor pans. Outer sill panels, I do remember that I was able to buy new LH side outer sill panels only. Inner
