Hi
I'm having trouble compressing the pistons on my rear brakes for my EA Ford. I've done the front easy now the handle on my G-clamp has twisted like a pretzel under the pressure required to move the piston in about 4mm.
Is there a special tool or something I need to take off.
Cheers

The rear piston needs to be turned in due to the handbrake system in the caliper.
Special tool required to do this - cheap to buy. Apply a bit of pressure to the piston so it will screw in. Watch the piston to make sure that you are turning it the correc

Yeah the tool actaully looks like a large socket. They are usually 1/2 inch drive and repco should have one in stock.
Super Cheap and Autobarn might have them though I've not seen them there before.

I made one out of about a 3" long piece of water pipe roughly the same size, angle grinded the end to fit the cutouts in the piston. If you force it you will likely damage the caliper or piston.

Forgot to finish the tool...then I drilled 4 holes in the pipe at right angles so I could use a thick screwdriver as a lever to turn the piston.
