Hi folks,
The front door in my VP commodore won't unlock using the central locking or remote, the knob on the door trim only comes 3/4 the way up and you have to reach over and pull it up completely to open.

I've sprayed all sorts of WD40 style stuff down and around the mechanism and still nothing, doesn't appear to be sticking, just only comes up so far by the lock motor.

Any ideas? I don't know if you can adjust these at all but I noticed when you use the outside door handle there is a small amount of play in the handle, not much but not sure if this affects at all.

thanks, need to get this fixed so the GF will stop whining about it!

you need to readjust the stroke.
remove the door triming, re-attatch the lock top plastic bits.
work the central locking to see how it moves.
now you can move the motor either up or down (inline with the pull)
i have found moving it away or down helps
