Hi all ive got a set o pre polution 308 heads out of a HJ that i want to sell.
Befor i sell them i want to have them dipped in acid to clean them up properly and need to know if they have any brass,copper or any other parts made out metals other than cast iron that will be eaten by the acid?

Basically only the core plugs they are steel or brass. But why go to that expense if you are selling them? you won't get much for them.

there is no cost to me.
My father can do them at work so its free.
How muc would they be worth?

I'd rather buy them dirty, so they don't rust up on the shelf. As for value, it would cost more to post them than what they are worth. I threw away about 10 of these with scrap metal, along with four or five complete 253's in the last 12 months. I couldn' |

Just as a rough price i converted a set of post pollution heads to run on straight unleaded(no valve saver needed) and including acid bath it was $800. I wouldn't get 300 bucks for the heads now as they are only stock heads with no porting or roller rock
