Hey might sound like a stupid question but I haven't tried yet. I'm looking at hiring a trailer to carry a Kingswood being towed by a Hilux.

What I want to know, how do you get the car on the trailer? Do you leave the trailer attached to the Hilux's tow ball and put 2 ramps on the trailer and drive/winch the car up. Or do you detach the trailer from the tow ball and angle the trailer so the car can be pushed straight up to the trailer?

Furthermore, what sort of trailer should I ask for?

Thanks in advance, Conor.

Just for safety's sake, never, ever try to load a car onto a trailer that's not attached to a braked vehicle!! It can easily create a runaway on even slight slopes.

Anyway, leave it attached, fit the ramps, and try to drive the car up onto the trailer
Cheers,

Mick

Good advice there, Mick.

Also, don't forget to tie the car down when it is on the trailer so it won't move. DO NOT rely on the car's brakes or having it in gear to stop it moving.

One other tip, ALWAYS have the car on the trailer forwards, assuming
